For a back-and-forth dialogue with a reference, I envisioned a conversational format. I tried this approach in position_dialogue, but the final text lacked fluency due to insufficient content. This dialogue layout aimed to create smooth transitions between topics.
The layout’s left side, in gray, contains original book quotes or objective book descriptions. The right side showcases my work corresponding to the references.
However, classroom feedback suggested this dialogue format might not have improved reading fluency as intended. Instead, it may have made the content more disjointed, lacking explanations for why certain passages were quoted.
Consequently, in the later summative written work, I adopted a different approach to interweave references with my own work.
